We have 2 charging posts (22 kwh) where you can charge your electric car. You go into the reception at the Inn and ask for a charging tag to be able to start the charger. You need your own charging cable with you.
It is not allowed to charge the car at the hotel with a standard 220 W electric cable due to safety regulations at the hotel.
Directly outside Katrinelund (outside the red fence) there is a public bathing area. Anyone can park there with their cars, even overnight according to Allemansrätten. The car parks in the Katrinelund area are reserved for those staying at the hotel or year-round accommodation.
We have 1 room that is adapted for wheelchairs. Please indicate this when booking, so that we can guarantee a place for you.
Both the guesthouse and Sjökrogen have an entrance where it is easy to roll in both wheelchairs and prams.
At the Inn, this entrance with a ramp is located at the back of the house by our apple garden.
There is also a car park for the disabled.
Four-legged friends (dogs) are welcome to stay with you in one of our three dog rooms. Specify when booking so that we can reserve a place for you. Price 250 SEK per night per dog.
Dogs are otherwise allowed on our outdoor terrace at Sjökrogen - but not inside the dining rooms, as there may be allergy sufferers in other parties.
As we get closer to the opening of the season in April, we can say more, but not promise exactly what will be served. It changes successively depending on the season and what crops in the neighbourhood provide. Nature controls when and what is on the menu. However, we can promise well-prepared, tasty food from locally grown ingredients.
We have a particular ingredient that is closest to us, and which is always on the summer Sjökrog menu.
Hjälmargösen! It is an obvious raw material as it is fished right on the doorstep. In addition, we serve meat from a local farmer in Närke and vegetables from the area.
We are looking forward to the great produce of spring and summer.
We work on sustainability in several different ways.
We work as much as possible with organic and locally produced food, as well as eco-labelled cleaning products and are a Silver Class certified business.
It is important for us to be able to work and live in the countryside. Our partnerships with vegetable growers around St Mellösa, fishermen in Hjälmaren and meat farmers on the Närkeslätten are therefore particularly important to us. It also reduces long journeys, we know where the vegetables we serve have grown, and that the animals raised have had a good life.
In our small garden we grow apples, rhubarb, currants, edible flowers and herbs that we take care of and process.
In terms of the environment, we recycle plastic, metal, glass, paper, cardboard, recycled glass and food waste.
