What is Gastro nature?

Gastro Natur is a vision. An idea that cooking and flavours are enhanced in the company of nature. To find fantastic experiences in what is already around us - in nature, the season and its ingredients.

It's a dining experience in nature, by nature - on nature's terms. It's about going back to the simple to rediscover something amazing. Enjoying what nature has to offer, carefully and lovingly prepared under the open sky, together with people you love.

Gastro nature - Lake Hjälmaren

Gastro Nature Summer. An exclusive unique dinner and nature experience on/in Hjälmaren. We set the table for an exclusive seated dinner (20 seats) in a magical place in / on the glittering summer waters of Hjälmaren. Exactly where, it is nature that governs, and since it is on nature's terms, clothes according to the weather apply. We change and adapt to the conditions. That's what makes it a unique experience that will never be the same. A challenge we love!

Dinner on the ice

"Dinner on the Ice" - a unique meal organised in a limited number of locations out on the Hjälmaren ice, on nature's terms. 2024 year ice dinner took place in February - it was magical - filled with wind, fire, ice, cold and heat.

The sparkling snow-covered ice provided a wonderful light over Lake Hjälmaren. It was a windy and cold evening, but everyone was properly dressed as they walked down to the ice with a warm welcome drink in hand. On the ice they had an unforgettable experience of really good food, cooked in the middle of the ice. Good hot drinks were also served and the atmosphere was filled with wind and atmospheric singing. An evening to remember!
